Nodusfall Gameplay: Weavers, Co-Op Combat, and Builds
Public footage and official copy describe Nodusfall as squad-based action: you play a Weaver, fight colossal mythic enemies with allies, steal divine power for personal Divine Skills, and rebuild your loadout between hunts.

Play as a Weaver
Every official description of Nodusfall gameplay starts with the same avatar: the Weaver. The homepage asks you to cross a mythic world unraveling at its seams. The world page says you forge bonds with powerful companions. The Gamescom news post says Weavers seize whatever divinity remains and uncover secrets buried in the world.
That is character fantasy more than a published class document. HoYoverse has not listed named Weaver archetypes, weapon categories, or a skill tree. Treat “Weaver” as the player role — the person who weaves leftover divinity into a fighting kit — until a later showcase fills in systems.
Cooperative Combat and Squad Play
Co-op is the part of Nodusfall gameplay HoYoverse has stressed hardest. Official site copy tells you to team up seamlessly, fight side by side, shatter the deadlock, and restore order together. Noisy Pixel reported that combat is designed around squads. The Gamescom news post calls every clash against a formidable enemy “an epic forged through teamwork.”
Whether matchmaking is drop-in, locked four-player parties, or a hybrid like other co-op action games has not been announced. Solo viability is also unconfirmed.
Face Mighty Foes, Reweave the Miracle
The first gameplay promise on the official site is scale: mighty foes, colossal legendary creatures, and a world that needs to be “reweaved.” Trailer coverage describes players looking small against dragons, phoenixes, titans, and other oversized mythic bodies. That supports a hunt-and-boss loop even though HoYoverse has not used the word “raid.”
Stand Together, Break the Deadlock
“Break the deadlock” is official language for the cooperative fantasy: the world is stuck, and a single Weaver is not framed as enough. If later previews add ping systems, shared stagger windows, or role duties (tank, support, damage), they will land under this promise. None of those terms are official yet.
Seize Divine Power, Shatter Their Might
The most specific combat system named so far is stolen divinity. Official copy says you reap divine power from enemies, unlock skills that belong to you, and turn their might against them. That sounds like a boss-to-build pipeline: beat a mythic being, take a piece of its authority, spend it in the next fight.
Divine Skills
Divine Skills are the only named ability category on the official homepage. They are described as yours alone after you harvest divinity. HoYoverse has not said whether they are ultimates, stance skills, or a separate loadout row. They are distinct, at least in marketing, from the Styles and Skills mentioned in reporting.
Turning Enemy Might Against Them
Using an enemy’s power against it is the stated fantasy for those skills. Until a kit showcase lands, do not assume Monster Hunter-style mounting, Elden Ring-style ashes, or Genshin-style elemental reactions. Those are outside sources’ guesses, not Nodusfall systems.
Styles, Skills, Relics, and Loadouts
Nodusfall gameplay is being sold as adaptable. The official site talks about switching roles and loadouts at will. Noisy Pixel reported selectable Styles and Skill combinations so a squad can retune for each encounter.
Switch Roles and Loadouts
“Switch roles and loadouts at will” is a strong claim: it implies you are not locked into one job for a season-long grind. It does not yet prove respec cost, mid-hunt swapping, or shared stash rules. The only attached loop is: defeat a mighty foe, claim a mightier relic, change your setup, repeat.
Styles and Skill Combinations
Noisy Pixel is the source for Styles and Skill combinations as player-facing terms. Combined with official “roles and loadouts,” the picture is a modular kit rather than a single skill bar. Until HoYoverse publishes a menu screenshot, Style remains a reported label, not an in-game glossary entry.
Slay, Forge, Build, Evolve
This four-word slogan is the official progression pitch. It sits next to relic hunting and loadout swapping, which is why this page treats it as the gameplay loop rather than flavor text.
Claim Relics from Mighty Foes
Relics are earned by felling powerful enemies. Official copy does not say whether relics are weapons, armor, Weaver tools, or captured divinity made physical. They are the named reward that makes the next loadout stronger.
Adapt Your Build to Each Encounter
Both HoYoverse and Noisy Pixel describe changing tactics per fight. That is the practical read of Nodusfall gameplay today: encounters are meant to punish a static squad composition. The counter is a flexible Weaver kit, not a single meta loadout.
What Is Still Unknown About Nodusfall Gameplay
HoYoverse has not published player count, targeting (tab vs lock-on), difficulty modes, PvP, gacha, a battle pass, or whether Nodusfall is free-to-play. Outlets have asked those questions because other HoYoverse games use live-service systems. None of that is confirmed for this title. This page will stay limited to Weavers, co-op framing, Divine Skills, relics, and reported Styles until an official system trailer lands.
